The master has chosen you, and once that decision is made, there’s really no going back. Cats don’t take these things lightly. She found warmth, safety, and people who cared, and decided that was enough. At this point, you’re just living in her world now, and honestly, it looks like a pretty good place to be.

It’s reasonable to try the neighbors a few more times so you can say you did everything you could. Knock again, leave a note, maybe ask around if anyone recognizes her. But if there’s still no response and no one seems concerned she’s gone, that tells you something. In the meantime, she’s warm, cared for, and getting attention she clearly needs.

It would be really important to get her chipped, especially in case she ever goes missing again. A microchip gives her a clear way back home and takes away a lot of uncertainty in situations like this. It’s a small step that can make a huge difference, and it also helps protect her long term if she ever slips out or gets lost.
